Why Google SEO & Google page speed is so important. Sharing the Best FREE SEO & Keyword Ranking Tools!

Is your website Mobile Friendly?

The problem is most businesses websites were developed for desktop computers, while these sites may display fantastic on those platforms they always fall flat on smartphone & tablets.

Mobile visitors are often presented with sites that load slow, act buggy or are missing features, this means lost customers - as they browse onto someone else's website that is responsive.

This is the problem businesses large and small are still grappling with...

Why Mobile Friendly websites are important?

1

Consumers

Need to land on a secure website  where they can find the information they need quickly. Otherwise they leave.

2

Credibility

Having a not secure website and having a not secure mobile friendly website will drive the consumer off of your site hurting your business.

3

Competition

Will take business away from you because of their secure website and  mobile friendly website that looks great and responds quickly to search algorithms resulting in your financial loss.

4

Advertising

Not having a mobile friendly website is creating  Google SEO issues and makes it hard for customers on Google, Bing, Yahoo or other search engines to find your business.

Google SEO

Dubbed “Mobilegeddon,” Google’s latest tweak to its search algorithms has arrived. It makes a significant impact on how company’s websites are ranked in search results on smartphones. In laymen's terms it means that if your site is not mobile friendly you will lose your Google SEO rankings and experience a drop in traffic because you don’t meet Google SEO guidelines.

This adjustment now favors only sites in Google search algorithms that are more mobile friendly. That means companies and retailers that have sites that meet Google’s SEO mobile guidelines will rank higher in search results on smartphones.

The search giant announced the change “will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have a significant impact in our search results. Consequently, users will find it easier to get relevant, high quality search results that are optimized for their devices.”

Google Ranking HTTPS

Google's deadline has come and gone for websites to upgrade from HTTP to HTTPS. Google will be explicitly warning your website visitors if a site is insecure, based on whether it’s HTTP or not.

So, when Google starts flagging up your website as ‘not secure’, even loyal customers will consider jumping ship.

The lack of security from HTTP sites means that Google Chrome – and your online visitors – will no longer trust your website. So, failing to meet Google’s deadline could cause a rise in website bounce rates, as the ‘not secure’ that will be predominantly displayed in the address bar scares visitors away.

To add salt to the wound, HTTPS is also a known ranking signal for Google. So it’s likely that any HTTP sites left will also see a drop in their organic search rankings. In other words, if you choose to ignore Google’s deadline, it will prove costly in more ways than one.

Users expect a secure online experience when providing data via a website.

Every website that we develop comes with HTTPS in order to protect your users' connection to your website.

Google Page Speed

Google Page speed is now a ranking factor for mobile searches.

Google called this the “Speed Update,” and has officially announced that it has rolled out worldwide.

Google has indicated that Google site speed (and as a result, Google page speed) is one of the signals used by its search algorithms to rank pages. A slow Google page speed means that search engines can crawl fewer pages using their allocated crawl budget, and this will negatively affect your Google SEO search algorithms. We put all of our websites through a Google page speed test.

Google page speed is also important to user experience. Pages with a longer load time tend to have higher bounce rates and lower average time on page. Longer load times have also been shown to negatively affect conversions.
